Chameleon Artwear is a "Lifestyle" store located in the heart of Salt Lake City. Since 1983 the store has developed a niche market as a retailer of wearable art: clothing, jewelry and accessories with an artistic flair.

Our well-traveled staff seeks out handicrafts from almost forgotten ethnic minorities. We can tell you the stories behind the ethnic artifacts. In many tribal areas, these handicrafts are dying out as younger people go to work in factories. We help support their traditional wearable art forms.

We feature hand woven clothing from Guatemala, Mexico and India, vintage silk kimonos from Kyoto, Japan, textiles from Southeast Asia and antique jewelry from China and India. We directly import from India, Thailand and Indonesia. By cutting out the middleman and paying the artists and crafts persons directly, we can pass on substantial savings to our customers. We also carry Native American silver.
